Have you ever played carrom, a traditional Indian tabletop game? Rules are simple: you flick a disc and aim to get the stacked coins in the center into one of the corners. Something like snooker, but with your fingers. The red coin offers the highest points, but the reason is that there is only one red coin. Its rarity makes it special and the piece everyone wants. Having had so many fun memories linked to this game, we developed a ring version. The sliced diamond resembles the table top board on which the game is played, and the one coin we chose to display… the red coin. If we are making a luxury ring, it only makes sense to use the coin with the highest value.
